In efforts to make us well-rounded missionaries, the Episcopal Church's Mission Personnel requires we raise $10,000 by July 25, 2015 to help fund our travels. I am also collecting gifts for a "Personal Missionary Fund," you can see below what this will help sponsor.

Breakdown of Expenses

YASC Fund
Here is a breakdown of the expenses for each young adult sent away through YASC. We are only required to raise $10,000 of the roughly $24,000 it takes the Church to send each missionary around the globe for a year.
      
♥ $6,500 – base stipend ($500/month for most YASCers, but adjusted for higher costs of living in some locations)
♥ $6,500 – insurance
♥ $1,200 – language learning stipend
♥ $2,000 – round trip ticket
♥ $6,000 – discernment, orientation, reentry
♥ $1,000 – repatriation allowance
♥ $800 – visas and vaccinations, as well as misc administrative costs

Personal Fund
I will be using whatever money is collected through my Personal Missionary Fund to help fund the following:
  
✿ ESL teacher materials
✿ ESL student materials
✿ Specialized books for ESL learners
✿ Regular classroom materials
✿ Costs incurred to obtain a travel immigrant Visa
✿ Ship my bike to Costa Rica
✿ Water filters
✿ iPad keyboard (to help me keep up on my blog)
✿ Camera (to help document and share my journey away)
✿ Other necessary costs incurred to make my travels possible
